Having lived in Hong Kong for the better part of my entire life I felt it necessary to dedicate an entire page. One of these days I’ll provide a layover guide, for the moment however, my plan is to eat my way across Hong Kong all in name of research for you lovely people (no selfish desires I promise)! Below are my suggestions for where to eat here in this crazy city I call home. (Yes its literally a list of places to eat!)

- Bowrington Road Cooked Food Centre (Take a seat at either Wai Kee, for lunch, or Wing Kee, if coming during dinner. Wai Kee is a halal (حلال) restaurant famous for roasted duck or chicken, served with rice, noodles or curry, while Wing Kee is famous for its seafood)
- Tamashii (Possibly (was) the best raimen in Hong Kong – has sadly closed 😦 )
- Lee House Restaurant (Excellent quality Dim Sum)
- Megan’s Kitchen (Good quality, if a little pricey, hotpot restaurant)
- Old Bazaar Kitchen (Classic Asian fare with a modern twist. Excellent quality food – book ahead and pre order some of the chef’s recommendations)
- Joon Ko (Think home-cooked Korean food)
- Joy Hing Roasted Meat (Some of the best char siu fan (BBQ pork with rice) to be found)
- Harvest House Sushi (Decent affordable sushi)
- Sun King Yuen Curry Restaurant (Cheap and cheerful local style curry and noodle joint)
- Northern Dumplings Yuan Restaurant – Cheap and delicious Northern Style dumplings (I love the mutton variety!)
- Samsen (Very tasty Thai street food hipster-style restaurant)
- Cong Sao Star dessert (Local desert shop)
- Penang Prawn Noodle Shop (Cheap bowls of delicious Laksa)
- Chili Club (Best authentic Thai food in Hong Kong)

- Oi Man Sang – One of the few remaining Dai Pai Dong – fast and furious street-side dining (Try the clams)
- Din Tai Fung – 3 words: Xiao Long Bao (soup filled dumplings)
- Saravana Bhavan – Excellent South Indian cuisine (Try their Dosa)
- Spring Deer – Beijing style food
- Myung Ga Restaurant – Korean BBQ
